Sealing function of dust ring:

An oil film is adhered to the surface of the cylinder piston rod. Generally, there are always dust or sand particles in the place where the oil cylinder is used. These dust and sand particles will be brought into the oil cylinder when they are bonded with the oil film on the surface of the piston rod. Scratching the lip of the lip seal ring on the piston rod or the surface of the piston rod will cause medium leakage. Therefore, it is necessary to set a dust ring on the outside of the piston rod seal ring near the end face of the cylinder barrel.

The dust ring is installed in the groove. Because there is a certain amount of interference between the lip of the dust ring and the piston rod, the lip of the dust ring is close to the surface of the piston rod.

When the piston rod moves back and forth, the dust and sand adhering to the surface of the piston rod are removed by the dust ring. There is a certain clearance between the right section of the dust ring lip and the piston rod, which can reduce the friction resistance between the dust ring lip and the piston rod.
