    Ultra-low temperature sealing introduction:

    The main ultra-low temperature sealing materials are: polychlorotrifluoroethylene, polytetrafluoroethylene, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, polyether ether ketone, etc., which can be used in the temperature range of -253 ° C - 260 ° C.

     

    Polytrifluoroethylene (PCTFE)

    The melting point of PCTFE is 210-230℃, the density is 2.1-2.18g/cm³, and the Shore hardness is D75-D90. Polychlorotrifluoroethylene has excellent rigidity, low temperature resistance, cold flow resistance, and is an ideal sealing material under low temperature and high pressure conditions. long-term use.

     

    Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE)

    The melting point of UHMWPE is 130-136℃, the density is 0.94g/cm³, and the Shore hardness is D40-D60. -70℃ still has quite high impact performance, -196℃ can still maintain toughness and strength, and can be used for a long time in the temperature range of -180℃-90℃. But its disadvantages are insufficient tensile and compressive strength, poor high temperature resistance and low hardness.
