After months of negotiations, West Germany agreed to sell parts to the United States.

The ambassador of West Germany to India said today that relevant issues.
Ambassador Rolf Ramisch told reporters here that according to the agreement reached in Bonn last month, the parts can now be purchased.
His statement was announced three days before the arrival of West German Prime Minister Helmut Kohl for a brief visit. Mr.
Ramisch does not specify what kind of parts his country will supply.
One of the highest requirements of Tarapur is the replacement of mechanical seals and circulating pumps, and it has been said that mechanical seals may raise the level of radioactivity in the plant to dangerous levels.
