The word Grommet may not be part of your daily vocabulary, but you must have seen these small rings made of metal, rubber or plastic around the small holes in the eye of the boot, and the curtains and metal plates can be punched.

This is a highly used and well-known word in the industry, from shoe companies to the electrical and electronics industry.
