As many families in our urban community are very close, changes or additions to the new system may cause unforeseen problems or concerns for other families.
My first question is, have you contacted your neighbor about your concerns?
Good dialogue and compromise between Next
Door users will be essential to solve this problem and other problems that may arise.
If the neighbor is not willing to meet your requirements, it may be difficult to minimize the noise of the pump.
The only solution you can get without the consent of your neighbors is to build a solid fence as a barrier to transfer some of the sounds of the offending equipment.
I suspect this can be greatly alleviated from this problem.
For some answers to the reasons for the noise pool pump and possible solutions, I consulted Gerry Desjardins, a swimming pool expert at Mermaid water Care Ltd.
He suggested starting with checking if the pump is running properly.
Most pool pumps are relatively quiet, but become very noisy when the bearings are worn out.
They can complain or make very loud and annoying scraping noises.
Desjardins has checked and repaired the backyard pool pump that can be heard from the front Lane due to bearing damage.
If the pump is old, this may be a possible cause of the noise and can usually be repaired by replacing the worn bearing.
If the pump is newly installed, it is unlikely to damage the pump.
If the noise is too loud just because the pump itself is large, other solutions may help.
Usually, due to the vibration of the unit, the noise heard from the mechanical system containing the pump or motor is amplified.
Desjardins recommends installing rubber pads under the pump to provide sound disruption between the pump and the concrete below.
This will provide a buffer for the pump and prevent excessive noise due to vibration on the hard concrete base.
This is a simple and cheap remedy that can relieve troubles.
If reducing vibration does not make the noise of the pump tolerable, it may be necessary to close the pump part in the cabinet or shed.
Small pool equipment sheds are often used to make the storage of the equipment more beautiful, but also to reduce the sound.
The shed should be built with moisture-proof material and large enough for proper maintenance and repair of the contents.
Hard foam insulation on the inner wall can help reduce noise.
Desjardins stressed that proper airflow within the shed must be taken into account.
In order to prevent overheating of pumps and other mechanical equipment, proper ventilation is essential.
The lack of proper cooling air of the pump will accelerate the damage of the bearing and may even cause damage to the bearing.
If the pool heater is also installed in the shed, the combustible materials of the heater and its vents must be allowed to have an appropriate clearance to prevent fire and allow proper ventilation.
Full combustion of gas Air
Ignition heaters are also required.
Installing several vents on the shed walls and roof can create some noise, but it is critical to prevent problems with the pool equipment and to allow moisture in the shed to dry.
No matter what solution is sought, the willingness to get help from the owner of the pool is essential.
If the neighbor does not agree with the existence of the noise problem and needs to be addressed, there is little to do.
This should be treated with caution and diplomatic means should be taken to avoid the appearance of defensive knees
The next jerk reaction. Pool owner.
If you face him or her in a way that is blamed, it is almost impossible to achieve anything.
Avoid the question: \"What are you going to do with your noisy pump?
\"To express your concerns in a reasonable way and to seek the help of your neighbors, it is feasible to find a solution.
Proposing to pay part of the cost of improvement or repair may help persuade the neighbor to stop the work of the pump.
Unfortunately, many homeowners have had disputes with their neighbors on such issues.
In contrast to the unpleasantness that may arise from a prolonged dispute with a neighbor, the annoyance of a noisy pool pump may be minimal.
For this situation, finding a friendly solution may even invite you to the swimming pool on a hot day.
